Privacy policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Emalia Boutique collects when you visit emaliaboutique.com or shop with us, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Emalia Boutique is operated by Zobaidi LTD (company number 14607399), which is responsible for your information. Our store runs on Shopify.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, the items you order, and anything you write to us. If you create an account, your login details and saved preferences.

Payment details. Card and wallet payments are processed by Shopify Payments and, where you choose them, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Shop Pay. We see the payment type, the last four digits of a card and whether the payment went through. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected as you browse. Your device and browser type, IP address and the approximate location it indicates, the pages you view, what you add to your cart, and the site or ad that brought you to us. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To process, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle returns, refunds and cancellations.
  • To answer your questions and give you customer support.
  • To send order confirmations and shipping updates.
  • To send marketing emails if you signed up for them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the store and checkout secure.
  • To understand how the site is used and make it better.
  • To measure and show advertising, including on other websites, where the law and your choices allow it.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments. Shopify also uses some information under its own Consumer Privacy Policy, and you can make requests to Shopify through its Privacy Portal.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
  • Service providers we use for email, customer support and site analytics.
  • Advertising partners, such as Google, unless you have opted out.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, when we are legally required to share information or need to protect our rights.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganized.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing for advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain US state laws, and you can opt out of it as described below.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the cart and checkout, analytics cookies to see how the site is used, and advertising cookies to measure and show ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings and, where shown, in our cookie preferences. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout may not work.

Your rights in the United States

If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas or Virginia, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and its use for targeted advertising;
  • appeal our decision on any of these requests.

To opt out, use the "Your Privacy Choices" link at the bottom of our site or email us. Where the law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out. To make any other request, email us with the subject line "Privacy request". We will verify your identity before acting on it. You may ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area

We process your information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate business interests, to meet legal obligations, and with your consent for marketing and non-essential cookies. In addition to the rights above, you may object to or ask us to restrict our processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Where your information is processed

Our service providers may store and process your information in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union and other countries. When information is transferred out of the UK or the EEA, we rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep your marketing preferences until you unsubscribe, and support messages for as long as we need them to help you. After that, we delete or anonymize the information.

Security

Our site and checkout use encrypted connections, and access to customer information is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send card numbers or passwords to us by email.

Children

Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will give notice as the law requires.
